DESCRIPTION:\n	The 2020 Business of Outdoor Recreation Summit will focus on building resiliency for the future and take place October 13-15, 2020 virtually. Montana Governor’s Office of Outdoor Recreation ( http://business.mt.gov/Office-of-Outdoor-Recreation ), Crown of the Continent Geotourism Council ( https://crownofthecontinent.natgeotourism.com/ ), and Montana Trails Coalition ( https://www.montanatrailscoalition.org/ ) will host the region’s enhanced follow-up to inaugural 2018 Business of Outdoor Recreation Summit. This year’s Summit participants will be from Montana, Greater Crown of the Continent Region including Alberta and British Columbia and beyond, ranging from industry, community, and conservation. Summit will offer tools that will help facilitate interaction between attendees and create concrete opportunities to utilize and integrate into future work. Join us live each day or catch up with our recorded sessions.\nExpect three days of networking, live panels, podcasts, dynamic guest speakers, webinars, live workshops, film festival and so much more.\nWhy Now?\nIn these changing times it has never been more important to discuss the important topics and issues around the outdoor recreation way of life and economy, in Montana, the Crown of the Continent Region, nationally and internationally. More than ever we need to focus on building resiliency in our lives and businesses. The outdoor recreation industry and surrounding economy are renewable and sustainable- together we will work for today and for the future.\nThe 2020 Business of Outdoor Recreation Summit will cover outdoor recreation education; impacts of recreation on landscape and wildlife; challenges of population fluctuation in gateway and rural communities; recreation use in times of emergency; commercial recreation use now and in the future; Community Outdoor Recreation Realization pathway; health and wellbeing of recreation integration; significance of recreation in veteran’s lives; and how do we communicate the needs of outdoor recreation to our elected officials and policy makers.
